Gemologist Intern 

As a Gemologist Intern, you will work alongside other gemologists for precious and semi-precious gemstone and melee review, and quality assurance of finished products.   

Candidates should have a desire to work in a socially responsible consumer business, thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and exhibit impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills.  

This is a temporary, internship position which requires regular on-site attendance in our Shanghai office. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Review and perform quality assurance inspections of loose lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, and other colored gemstones to optimize high quality and maintain consistency 
  • Track, review, and process gemstone inventory with efficiency and high level of accuracy 
  • Utilize our ERP system, spreadsheets, and other applications to complete tasks and collaborate with other team members and departments  
  • Collaborate with internal teams in a fast-paced, high volume work environment with a high attention to detail 
  • Meet goals, targets and deadlines as assigned by leadership  
  • Follow product security policies and procedures.  

Specific qualifications include 

  • Graduate Gemologist Degree, Graduate Diamonds (complete or in-process) or hands-on experience with diamonds & gems 
  • Experience in jewelry products, operations and/or administrative experience preferred 
  • Dedicated interest in growing your Gemologist skillset 
  • Highly organized with focus on execution and problem solving  
  • Exceptional time management skills and accountability 
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment 
  • Strong computer skills with excellent written and verbal communications

Jewelry Quality Assurance Associate

Position Overview:  

Our Operations Associates are dedicated to delivering excellence from the time a customer places an order to the moment a customer opens their package. The team coordinates and executes day-to-day operations of order processing, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and production, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners. In this role, you will assist in leading the quality assurance team’s tasks while collaborating within a close-knit team and with external partners. Join our team of committed problem solvers who are passionate about ensuring that every AmourDiamant purchase meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. 

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Execute quality assurance best practices to ensure inventory and finished product meet AmourDiamant’s high-quality standards 
  • Conduct thorough inspection of jewelry using expertise of gems, diamonds, metals, and jewelry manufacturing and adhering to AmourDiamant quality standards 
  • Notify appropriate partners for vendor issues or recurring product quality issues. 
  • Document inspection results into ERP system (NetSuite) and provide internal, cross-functional partners with repair options and costs to provide customers.  
  • Meet daily processing timelines 
  • Build and maintain external partner and vendor relationships
  • Assist with pre-sales and post-sales support
  • Communicate and work cross-functionally with other teams regarding customer timelines
  • Communicate and work closely with our sales teams on addressing customer repair questions and issues
  • Identify improvements to current processes to drive productivity, efficiency and an overall better customer experience 
  • Assist in managing, processing, and tracking customer diamond and gem orders to ensure accuracy and timely arrival  

Specific qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of jewelry experience  
  • Operations and/or administrative experience preferred  
  • Robust computer skills, ideally including excel and ERP experience 
  • Attention to details in a fast paced, deadline driven environment   
  • Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes  
  • Exceptional time management skills and accountability  
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment  
  • Team player with an ability to work collaboratively  
  • Entrepreneurial spirit / self-starter  
  • BA degree or equivalent, preferred

Customer Experience Assistant Manager

Position Overview:

The Customer Experience Assistant Manager will build, lead and mentor a team of dedicated Concierges, Customer Experience Assistants, and Jewelry Consultants responsible for delivering exceptional service to AmourDiamant customers.

This role is in person at our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will be able to work a full time schedule of  Monday-Friday. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the recruitment and management of a Customer Experience team in a fast-paced environment, focused on achieving sales targets, team KPIs, and providing a luxury experience to all customers.  
  • Work closely with the Retail Operations team to maintain a luxury environment.
  • Create memorable and personalized experiences for AmourDiamant customers by guiding customers through purchasing decisions, such as lab grown diamond options and custom designs. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries over email and live chat, and ensure that high standards are upheld by the team. 
  • Conduct in-person customer appointments to present jewelry in our private showroom, creating a truly personalized experience in a luxury goods environment. 
  • Consistently seek ways to improve the customer experience by designing and implementing efficiency improvement initiatives, policies and procedures.  
  • Problem-solve customer experience escalations, in partnership with operations and customer care, ensuring the best possible experience for all customers. 
  • Partner with Workforce Operations Analysts to create and maintain a team schedule to provide coverage for all necessary duties and appointments. 
  • Collaborate across departments on special projects in operations, merchandising, marketing, HR and customer care. 

Specific qualifications: 

  • Must have experience managing people in retail or direct to consumer sales, store leadership or keyholder experience a plus 
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of recruiting and growing high performing and accountable teams  
  • BA degree or equivalent, preferred 
  • A true passion for helping people and creating positive customer service experiences 
  • Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes 
  • Motivated self-starter with high efficiency work style, while maintaining attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
