Position overview
As a Gemologist Intern, you will work alongside other gemologists to review precious and semi-precious gemstones and melee, and to assure the quality of finished products.
Candidates should want to work in a socially responsible consumer business, thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
This is a temporary internship position requiring regular on-site attendance at our Shanghai office.
Key responsibilities
- Review loose lab-grown diamonds, moissanite and other coloured gemstones, and carry out quality-assurance inspections to maintain consistent high quality.
- Track, review and process gemstone inventory efficiently and accurately.
- Use our ERP system, spreadsheets and other applications to complete tasks and collaborate with colleagues and departments.
- Collaborate with internal teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Meet goals, targets and deadlines assigned by leadership.
- Follow product-security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate Gemologist qualification, Graduate Diamonds studies completed or in progress, or hands-on experience with diamonds and gemstones.
- Experience with jewellery products, operations or administration is preferred.
- A dedicated interest in developing your gemology skills.
- Highly organised, with a focus on execution and problem-solving.
- Exceptional time-management skills and accountability.
- Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.

Jewellery Quality Assurance Associate Quality & Operations

Position overview
Our Operations Associates are dedicated to delivering excellence from the moment a customer places an order to the moment the package is opened. In this role, you will help lead quality-assurance tasks, collaborate with a close-knit team and external partners, and help ensure that every Amour Diamant purchase meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Apply quality-assurance best practices so inventory and finished products meet Amour Diamant’s quality standards.
- Inspect jewellery thoroughly using your knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, metals and jewellery manufacturing.
- Notify the appropriate partners about vendor issues or recurring product-quality concerns.
- Record inspection results in the ERP system and provide internal partners with repair options and costs for customers.
- Meet daily processing timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Assist with pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Work across teams on customer timelines and communicate closely with sales teams about repair questions and issues.
- Identify process improvements that increase productivity, efficiency and the overall customer experience.
- Help manage, process and track customer diamond and gemstone orders accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- At least two years of jewellery experience.
- Operations or administrative experience is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, ideally including spreadsheet and ERP experience.

Customer Experience Assistant Manager Dubai · Full-time · On-site
Help lead a team dedicated to creating exceptional and personal experiences for every customer.
Position overview
The Customer Experience Assistant Manager will help build, lead and mentor a team of Concierges, Customer Experience Assistants and Jewellery Consultants responsible for delivering exceptional service to Amour Diamant customers.
This full-time role is based in our Dubai office and follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and managing a Customer Experience team focused on sales targets, team KPIs and a luxury experience for every customer.
- Work closely with Retail Operations to maintain a luxury environment.
- Create memorable, personalised customer experiences by guiding decisions about lab-grown diamonds, custom designs and other purchases.
- Respond to customer enquiries by email and live chat, and help the team maintain high service standards.
- Conduct in-person appointments in our private showroom and present jewellery in a personalised luxury setting.
- Design and implement improvements to policies, procedures and the customer experience.
- Resolve escalated customer-experience issues with Operations and Customer Care.
- Partner with Workforce Operations Analysts to maintain a team schedule that covers duties and appointments.
- Collaborate across Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, HR and Customer Care on special projects.
Qualifications
- Experience managing people in retail or direct-to-consumer sales; store leadership or keyholder experience is a plus.
- A proven record of recruiting and developing high-performing, accountable teams.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
